Diploma in Nursing
Nursing is a noble profession whose primary function is to cure and to reduce the pain and suffering of the patient. This diploma is recognized internationally and approved by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia and the Malaysian Nursing Board (under the Ministry of Health).
This program will equip students with the skills and knowledge in the field of health, behavioral science and nursing to provide you with a solid foundation to become an efficient healthcare. Students will also be exposed to practical training at both public and private healthcare institutions. Duration of diploma program is 3 years and the intake of new students is in January and July.
Entry Requirements
Admission requirements for local students are SPM passes with 5 credits including Mathematics, Science (General Science / Pure Sciences – Biology / Chemistry / Physics) and 3 credits in other subjects, also pass in Bahasa Malaysia English. For international students, applicants must have an O-Level or equivalent with SPM with minimum of 5 credits including Mathematics, Science (General Science / Pure Sciences – Biology / Physics / Chemistry) and 3 credits in other subjects. International applicants must also possess English language skills, pass IELTS with at least 5.5 and TOEFL with a score of 550.
Bachelor of Science (Honors) Degree in Nursing
Bachelor (Honors)in Nursing will complete graduates with theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of health science, behavior and nursing and focus on management and leadership. Teaching will be conducted through lectures, lab classes and practical sessions at both public and private healthcare institutions.Upon completion of the program, the university will ensure students are well prepared for professional careers in nursing and management. The duration of study is 4 years and the time of intake of new students is in January and July.
Entry Requirements
For local applicants, who take STPM or equivalent, they must earn a minimum CGPA of 2.5 (art stream students must have credit in SPM of Science Mathematics). For applicants from Matriculation, must pass at least CGPA 2.5 and for basic students, graduated with a minimum CGPA of 3.0. English language proficiency for local students is that they must pass MUET with at least Band 2.0 and for international applicants, pass IELTS with at least 5.5, and pass the TOEFL with at least a score of 550.
